Regardless of the condition of the other quarterbacks, Thigpen will start unless injured. He has shown just enough to intrigue – but not enough to prove himself. Think of Tony Romo’s trial a few years ago. If he does well, the Chiefs are set for a few years. If he struggles – they may need to look to the draft or free agency next spring.

Wire & String say : Both guys that were ahead of him are out for the season. his only real threat for replacement is the recently signed quinn and there is no way they will do that with the way thigpen is playing. the job is his to loose.
